PNEUMOVAX® 23 (Pneumococcal Vaccine Polyvalent) is a sterile liquid vaccine for intramuscular or subcutaneous injection. It is indicated for active immunization against pneumococcal disease caused by the 23 serotypes contained in the vaccine.

Each 0.5 mL dose contains 25 mcg of purified capsular polysaccharide from each of 23 pneumococcal types and phenol 0.25% as preservative.
