There are 10 doses in each multidose vial. To help ensure that you’re able to retrieve all 10 doses, we’ve outlined a few tips below.

Tip #1

Use a small syringe: 0.5mL or 1.0 mL

Tip #2

Use the recommended needle size: 22 to 25 gauge

Tip #3

If a vacuum is felt when extracting a dose, introduce a minimal amount of air to prevent over-pressurizing the vial

Tip #4

Introducing too much air into the vial can cause a loss of vaccine and lead to the inability to extract the full 10 doses

Tip #5

Aim for different puncture sites in the vial with each dose

Stand vial upright before withdrawing syringe
